Before you post it, get your story beta read!
You can send a story for submission to JOYFFA by simply emailing your fic to us at: joyffa@hotmail.com
And unless you weren't paying attention, let's reiterate those submission guidelines:
a) fics must be centred around Joyce;
b) we accept any Joyce fic, any pairing, any rating;
c) The header of your story should look something like this:
TITLE: the title of your story with the part number in brackets, eg (1/2) if it's a two part story and you're submitting the first part, or (5/?) if you're submitting part 5 but you don't yet know how many parts there will be.
AUTHOR: That's you, sweetie.
E-MAIL: the address at which you can be contacted by your public. If you don't want to receive feedback directly then we can forward it to you.
SUMMARY: a brief summary of the plot or lack thereof. You don't have to provide a critical synopsis, just remember that you're selling your story to potential readers. So write something short and snappy.
SPOILERS: if you've referenced a particular episode in your story then you should provide the appropriate warning here.
RATING: usually based on the US movie ratings, G, PG-13, R and NC-17 depending on the levels of sex/violence/swearing/etc.
DISCLAIMER: please include a disclaimer saying that you don't own the characters. Well, you don't want us to get sued do you? Do you???
FEEDBACK: just say whether you want it or not. However, it doesn't guarantee that you will actually receive any feedback or that all of it will be positive. If you don't want to invite negative criticism then don't ask for feedback.
NOTES/DEDICATION: as a rule, if you're deviating wildly from the show, writing an alternative universe or whatnot, or picking up where an episode left off, you would explain that here. You can also dedicate your fic to your mother/father/significant other/best friend/pet gerbil. It's entirely up to you.
d) one word: spellcheck. It only takes seconds to correct any spelling mistakes in Word. We won't archive stories that are littered with mis-spelt words. So do us and the readers a favour.
e) your stories should preferrably be in .doc or .txt file format because it's easier that way, dammit.
f) we won't archive fic with elements of incest;
g) we won't archive fics where a minor (i.e. under 16) is engaged in activity we class to be over PG-13.
