Species:	Born human, but now vampire. He is unique, however, in that his soul was restored, so that physically he is a vampire, but with a conscience and, therefore, guilt.
Height:	6 feet 1 inch
Marital Status:	Single.
Dating History:	* Unidentified relationship/s as a human (from what we see in 'Becoming' it's suggested that Angel would have been known to at least a few of the local lasses. Or lads...) * Darla, 1753 - 1898. Details of their relationship are mostly unknown, but they were together for 145 years whilst Angelus was without a soul, being all evil. * Darla, 1900. He appeared to come back to Darla for a time despite the restoration of his soul, but left her again during the Boxer Rebellion due to his inability to kill an innocent, making him disgusting in her eyes. In 1997 he staked her. * Buffy Summers, 1997 - 1998. He dated Buffy initially for about 9 months, splitting up in spectacular fashion when having sex w ith her caused him to lose his soul and become Angelus again. * Drusilla, 1998. It's strongly hinted that they were lovers when Angelus returned, although it was never confirmed onscreen. In all likelihood, he and she were lovers at least part of the time between 1860 and 1898 too. * Buffy Summers, 1998 - 1999. After briefly regaining his soul, Buffy had to kill Angel to avert world apocalypse. Upon resurrection he forgave her for doing this and they dated again. They split once more in May 1999 after Mayor Wilkins, Spike and Joyce all pointed out the doom of their relationship to them. However, Buffy is supposed to be the love of his life, yadda yadda yadda. Oh, yeah, they managed to boink again when Angel was temporarily human early in 2000, but she doesn't remember it now. * Darla, 2001. Angel was understandably surprised when Wolfram and Hart resurrected Darla (as a human) in 2000. He became more than a little obsessive, and tried to redeem her. Unfortunately she was revamped by Drusilla later that year and then the following February, Angel, in the pits of despair, had sex with her to lose his soul, effectively committing suicide. However, although the sex was good, it wasn't happy and instead he had an epiphany, and decided to carry on being Angel. That one night was pretty special though: Darla got pregnant, and bore a son to Angel (see below). *Cordelia Chase, 2002-present. They're not exactly dating in the traditional sense, but the two have fallen in love, sort of. Things are complicated to say the least.
Children:	One, a (mostly) human son called Connor,in 2001. Quite apart from his somewhat miraculous birth (vampires are supposedly unable to make children in the traditional way), he's a special boy, as by dint of some magical jiggery-pokery he is now aged about 16. Not overly impressed with his father at this stage. In addition Angel has sired at least two vampires: Penn, a Puritan (now dusted) and in 1860 Drusilla, an insane Cockney sparra type.
Other family:	He murdered his natural family, which included a sister, Kathy, on becoming a vamp. As a vampire, he belonged to the order of Aurelius, and the Master was his grandsire. Spike's grandsire in turn is Angel, and to make matters super-complicated, Angel is technically Darla's grandsire too, even though she sired him.
Friends:	Where to begin? As a vampire, Angelus was friends (sort of) with Darla and Dru, although he hated Spike. Despite his soul he seemed to make no friends (possibly excepting Whistler) until meeting Buffy in Sunnydale in 1997. Two of her friends, Willow and Giles, came to be guarded friends, although Xander was less keen. Cordelia fancied him. This went wrong, unsurprisingly, when he lost his soul and tried to kill them all. He rekindled his friendship with Drusilla as Angelus, but shortly thereafter was dusted. Following his resurrection in 1998, he re-established his friendships with Buffy and Willow, and became acquainted with Oz, but Xander, Cordelia, Giles and Faith kept their distance. In Los Angeles (despite briefly firing them all in 2001) he has built a close friendship with Cordelia, Wesley, Lorne (the Host) and Gunn. He was also a good friend of Doyle's until Doyle died in 1999. Angel also maintains a shaky relationship with Kate Lockley, and is mentoring Faith in her road to redemption.
